The AJONS the official journal of the American Organization of Neurological Surgeons and ACOS Neurosurgical Section was first published in the fall of 2001 to reflect the work of the AOA Neurosurgery faculty and residents. It consisted of peer reviewed articles chosen by an editorial board of neurosurgery program directors as best from the annual resident papers submitted. The Annual Residency Paper Contest continues to present day. The AJONS has been published each year for the members and others, highlighting the outstanding contribution to the field of medicine from its faculty and residents. At this time 2002 and 2006 articles are not available, however the winning articles and titles are available. Currently, no information is available from 2003, 2004, and 2005, for that reason the link is not available (NA).
An additional AJONS was published in print form in 2014 as a revision of the original printed in 2001. It remains the official journal of the American Organization of Neurological Surgeons and ACOS Neurosurgical Section and continues to demonstrate the distinctive heritage of the journal and organization.
